Really good game, it had a good little story and great atmosphere, and for it to be ur first game, wow, cant wait for ur next game, keep up the hard work...
I've just played this game and it was one of my best experiences. The atmosphere and build-up was insanely good and horribly creepy and horror.
One thing really dissapointed me: the final jumpscare. What you could do at the end, in a future update, is: after the final tv message, have the player go towards his room with a "Go to sleep" message or something, then block the player's camera on the door have the creature scream and sprint toward the player.
In rest, an absolutely terrifying and amazing game.
Thanks! Thats a really good idea! I've been thinking of ways to make the ending more climactic and avoid the player missing the monster, I will definitely consider this!
Thank you for actually responding! I'm really glad to see an actual competent and good game creator.
I've played over 130 itch io horror games, of all kinds and all sorts, and this game is in my top 3. If the ending was as i mentioned before, it wouldve surely been number one. Have a Merry Christmas!
I will not lie, this little game you made is borderline perfect. The sound design was nice, and the graphical style combined with the darkness made the monster much more terrifying. I went into this thinking it would just be a sorta Mandela Catalog inspired home intruder type game, but you did something MUCH better then that and for your first horror game as well.
I really enjoyed this game! I notice other ppl post their playthroughs so I think you might also like mine.
I really enjoyed the way you set up the thrills. It was a constant tension since the start of the game with the emergency broadcast. Then following it up with the instructions really hit for me idk why, it just thrusts you reminding you youre playing this game and it was a gnarly intro.
This is really good for a first horror game, specially the visual style. I really like the fisheye camera effect, it makes the whole thing quite unique. That said, definitely add an epilepsy warning to your game because of the flashy TV (it was hard to watch even without having photosensitivity honestly). That's really my main criticism to be honest, this was quite polished for something done as an assignment, I think you definitely have potential so keep up the good work! Your game is the last one on my video and starts at 23:33
As soon as I saw the description, I knew I needed to nerd out in the comments.
The theorized reason for the Uncanny Valley effect, and the one that makes the most sense, is death. When a human dies, the skin gets paler, loses its shine and "healthy" look, as well as a glassy-ness coming over the eyes.
All of this works hand in hand to fill all the boxes to the uncanny valley effect. The reason the effect exists is because corpses carry diseases, so we evolved to be disturbed by them.
Anyways, this game looks amazing! I can't wait to play it right after I comment this.
Fantastic short horror piece, made me so uncomfortable! And the png after the game closed was cruel but such a cool touch, really good stuff. Looking forward to anything else you make!
Congratulations to the creators of this short game, it is a very good game, I give it 5 stars, I want the creators of this game to subscribe to my channel, please, thank you, happy holidays, greetings from Spain
When you are inside your home, you are supposed to feel safe and not have to worry about a thing. But what happens when 'things' outside your house want to come in? What if they claim to own your life, your very existence...?
A well thought out and executed game!
I didn’t run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags. Kudos to all involved and thanks for making this awesome game. Well done!

Cool game, I really liked the ambient and the work you put into the broadcast in the TV, that was scary as fuck.
Waiting anxiously for more games!
Very spooky analog horror game! Cool story and gets pretty tense as it goes on. Good job!
I made a video on your game if you're interested :)I'm not only closing the curtains and turning off the lights, but I'm also setting traps around the house, like in the movie Home Alone. Great game!!!
DON'T OPEN YOUR WINDOWS.

Maybe in an update! As of right now the camera is not forced to look at the monster so I noticed some people missed the ending.

Really impressive work on this game for a college assignment!
This was an absolute blast and you should be proud of it! I hope this is something you'll continue doing as I'm overly eager for you to terrify me.
